The Department of Building Inspection is open from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Most divisions/sections do not open until 9:30 AM on Wednesdays due to staff meeting and trainings. In addition, some services have different service hours. Please refer to the chart below for specific times.
If you are filing for a building permit, the last customer will be taken in at 3:45 PM. Last payment for permits will be at 4:00 PM. This allows time for the customers to finish by 5:00 PM.
